BPI Midstream, LLC – Starboard Tack Capital’s portfolio company BPI Midstream, a midstream energy company with a focus on providing infrastructure to transport and process the byproducts of oil & gas production, closed on an investment to acquire the salt water disposal assets and management team of BOH, Inc., an experienced saltwater pipeline and injection well facility operator with assets in North Dakota.  The Company will operate as BOH Midstream and has offices in Williston, ND and Ogden, Utah.

Stack Energy, LLC – Starboard Tack Capital has formed Stack Energy, LLC to provide both equipment and services related to the capturing of flared gas streams from oil production and related facilities. Stack provides flexible solutions for producers from full turn-key flare gas capture services to flare gas equipment and maintenance on producer operated facilities.  As part of Stack’s service offerings, Stack can provide well site power generation utilizing raw wellhead gas.  Stack’s systems can create substantial value for producers while reducing well site emissions dramatically.

Independent Power USA, LLC – Starboard Tack Capital has partnered with Independent Power USA to provide project management and finance capabilities to the Company.  Independent Power USA is a renewable-energy company based in Columbus, Ohio focused on providing both large and intermediate scale independent renewable power solutions for commercial and government applications.  The Company’s use of a highly innovative mini-boiler design to burn low BTU waste coal and biomass produces a reliable source of local power, thereby reducing costs and carbon footprints and protecting customers from market forces in the energy sector.

Dakota Oil Processing, LLC – Starboard Tack Capital has been named as the management and project development team to lead the financing and construction of a 20,000+ barrel per day diesel hydroskimming refinery for Dakota Oil Processing, LLC.  The refinery, which will be located near Trenton, North Dakota, will be the second refinery constructed in the US in over three decades and will serve the growing demand for diesel fuel in the Bakken, an active shale oil region in North Dakota and Montana.

OilStone Logistics, LLC – Starboard Tack Capital has formed OilStone Logistics, LLC, a crude oil acquisition, and marketing organization focused on the crude oil supply chain, primarily relating to oil production in the Bakken and Eagle Ford shale regions of the US.

Sleeping Giant Power, LLC – Starboard Tack Capital launches Sleeping Giant Power, LLC, a renewable fuels based power company with a focus on western hydropower projects.  SGP’s first project will be an 8-megawatt hydro project in partnership with the Helena Valley Irrigation District at the Canyon Ferry Dam near Helena Montana.  

SST Bakken Properties, LLC – SST, a Starboard Tack Capital Portfolio company, announced the acquisition of 80 acres and a 107 room workforce lodging facility in Bainville, Montana. The workforce housing facility has been named Bainville Crossing SST plans to expand the facility up to 425 rooms to service the growing demand for worker housing in the oil & gas industry in the region.
